All Tiger Eye starts out as Hawkeye which is a blue/gray to blue/green variety of Quartz.
Blue "crocidolite" is disolved by quartz,taces of iron oxide remains.More iron presents results in the brownish golden color of tiger eye.
The various colors of tiger eye are the results of other mineral content
